Luxury dog friendly holiday cottages between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District

Three luxury self catering holiday cottages in a conversion of a magnificent Victorian stone barn near the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District

W ithin easy reach of both the Lakes and Dales National Parks, but removed from the hustle of either, our three luxury dog friendly holiday cottages are on the outskirts of the pretty Cumbria village of Ravenstonedale, nestling in The Howgill Fells.
Our relaxing location is in stunning open countryside, yet only fifteen minutes’ drive from the M6 at Tebay, just six miles from Kirkby Stephen and twelve miles from England's Book Town of Sedbergh.

Short breaks available all year.

We wanted our cottages to be the sort of places we'd love to stay, and where our guests want to return, so they're rather special, very well equipped, and very comfortable, and if your best friend has four legs and a waggy tail, don't leave him at home! All our cottages are dog friendly, with their own enclosed area, and you'll find dogs - and people - welcome in the local pubs.

Our grounds lead straight onto the fells, and the location is ideal for walking or touring, cycling, sightseeing or simply relaxing by the side of Artlegarth beck or enjoying the views out to Wild Boar Fell, Mallerstang Edge, Nine Standards Rigg and beyond.

There's an abundance of bird life, and you may well spot buzzards and curlews along with the more common species.
Red Squirrels, virtually non-existent in most parts of the country, are daily visitors to our grounds all year. The local Fell Ponies are usually close by, sheep graze the adjoining land, and the antics of the Spring lambs are great fun to see!

Winters here are beautiful, so we're open all year, including Christmas and New Year. The cottages are very well insulated and have underfloor heating along with a wood-burning stove in the lounge for an extra cosy touch in the coldest months, or a romantic mood at any time!

We look forward to welcoming you to our cottages for a weekend or midweek break, a week or more in one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
